The Beveraly Arts Center in Chicago held its inagural New Playwrights Festival

July 26 - August 1, 2021.

My one-act play "Death by Word" was selected as one of 11 plays for the festival, out of 77 submissions. The actors, director, and festival staff did an amazing job presenting the piece in their outdoor garden space on Saturday, July 31st.

Thank you to such an amazing group of individuals for making the festival happen and bringing "Death by Word" to life!

A Taste of Theater Features "Death by Word" Across the Country!

A Taste of Theater is a theater organization in Chicago, Illinois, that spotlights local playwrights and thespians. Last August, when the Theatre of Western Springs staged "Death by Word" for its New Plays Workshop, I had to pleasure of sitting down with Victor Gulley, who interviewed me and recorded scenes from the play. This episode will air on various television networks around the country, including in Minneapolis, MN, and Amherst, NH! Thank you, Victor, for all the hard work you put into this video.

Thank you to the Brookwood High School Reading Club!

I had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the students of Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, for their after school reading club. It was so encouraging to see such a group of teens who are so passionate about reading and writing. And congratulations to Kaylan, who won the raffle for "The Scholar and the Sphinx" trilogy and "The Secrets of the Moonstone Heir."
